Pastor Hollis Stewart was appointed to serve as The Living Word Idaho's Senior Pastor in January 2023. 

The attributes that best describe Pastor Hollis Stewart as a pastor are strong preaching, leadership development, counseling and mentoring. He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church  like The Living Word Idaho where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastor Hollis Stewart takes worship and preaching very seriously, spending the first hours of his day focused on Bible study.

Pastor Stewart: “My theological education came through leadership focus training from the Church of God of Anderson, Indiana. I am ordained in the Church of God Pacific to serve my district in the Northwest. 

“Leadership focus is a three-year program which the Church of God of Anderson, Indiana designed to get pastors ready to serve God in the Church of God. 

“My wife, Kathy and I have been together for 20 years. We were separated for about three years around the death of my son. We spent those years working through that difficult time. God brought us back together, and we are stronger than ever in Christ.

“I also spent one year in the United Methodist Church studying Wesleyanism. I completed that course and was recognized as a layman minister in the Methodist Church. I was on my way to becoming an ordained pastor in the Methodist Church before I came to the church of God.   (Find out about the pirates where Pastor grew up!)
